I had a pair of old tall UGG boots, where the sole was literally falling off. I was just about to put them in the bin however I felt guilty throwing them out as they are such a gorgeous boot. So I saved them from their death and thought about how I can give them a new lease of life, as a bag!

I cut up the boot and hand stitched the panels together ranging from the fluffy lining to the suede out terroir to create a contrasting textural design.

I added some ribbon accents, here I was inspired by a new released UGG boot with a ribbon lace up bow detail at the back. The handle and base of bag were made from old dressing gowns, that weren’t as fluffy anymore, which made them perfect for the extra fabric needed.

To finish off the bag I added the UGG label on the front which finishes off the bag perfectly!

After making one, I started gathering old UGG boots off Vinted and created this series of bags! I adore the outcome of these however they take a full 12 hours to make and since the suede is so thick I can’t machine stitch it, so the creation involves a lot of painful hand stitching but it’s all worth it in the end to save these gorgeous boots from the landfill!
