For a friend’s birthday, I wanted to create a unique gift. So by upcycling a pair of old Levi jeans, I cut out the pocket and stitched this onto some fabric.

On and into the pocket, I hand embroidered flowers coming out of the pocket (like a pocket full of sunshine but florals instead!) Using a range of stitches such as, french knot, lazy daisy and pinwheel.

The piece is finished off with beaded accents and sewn into a cushion! I love the look of denim when its upcycled into something other than jeans! I also love concept of flowers growing out of the pocket, as it gives perfect summer vibes!
